What is Ethical Harvesting?

Rather than removing the entire sponge from the sea floor, we gently trim it—similar to pruning a plant. This allows the sponge to regenerate quickly and continue growing.

Even more remarkable? During harvesting, millions of sponge cells are released into the ocean, where they attach to rocks and grow into new sponges—helping nature thrive.

Sponge Care & Cleaning

Because these are wild-harvested, natural sea sponges, you may notice small traces of sea residue. It’s completely normal—but we always recommend a good clean before first use.

How to Clean Your Sponge:

Choose the method that suits your needs:

• Daily Clean
  Rinse under warm water with a bit of gentle hand soap. Squeeze and air dry.
• Squeaky Clean
  Soak for 10 minutes in 1 cup of water with 2 tbsp white vinegar. (Optional: Add a drop of tea tree oil.)
• Deep Clean
  Soak for 10 minutes in 1 cup of warm water with 1 tbsp baking soda.

After cleaning, always air dry away from surfaces or enclosed spaces.
